Home Tour: Our Master Bedroom

Welcome to our master bedroom!

I thought you all might be interested in seeing more of our home and the DIY projects we've done, so I am beginning to share our "home tour," starting with our master bedroom.

We honestly haven't done too much to this room, which is a blessing because there have been several other projects to focus on. However, when we painted the house we included this room to paint to make it brighter and lighter, and better coordinate with our bedding + decor.

The look + feel I imagined for this room was light + airy, simple and tranquil. The master bedroom is one of the most important rooms to focus on (in my opinion) because this is where we end each day, and start a new day. It's a place that I look forward to unwinding after a stressful day.

With that said, the color palette I chose includes neutrals (shades of white, grey and black) and some pops of greenery.

Throw pillows add to the coziness of a room, and can really add to the overall look + feel of the room. To go with our neutral color scheme, I layered white on white, and light grey, textured throw pillows. These pillows are my FAVORITE because they are simple yet intricate.

The master bedroom is a personal space, therefore incorporating personal decor and photos was a big one for me. Thinking about what to do with your photos? Use it in this space, whether it's a gallery wall, above your bed, dresser or other areas of the room.
