5 must have fall decor items (other than pumpkins)

Fall is right around the corner. Get your home ready for this cozy and festive season with some of my favorite fall decor items.

Don't get me wrong..I love pumpkins and I use them throughout my home during this time of the year. But there's more to fall than just pumpkins!

Here are some other ideas:

Birch wood logs

Even if you don't have a real wood burning fireplace, I love keeping some birch wood logs next to a fireplace to give that cozy vibe.

Lanterns

Lanterns are one of my favorite versatile decor items. You can use them outside on your front porch, inside in your entryway, next to your fireplace and more. Consider filling your lantern with pillar candles, pumpkins, etc.

Pears

You're probably thinking, "why pears?!" Pears are typically in season in the fall and throughout the winter. Here's a twist on a regular pear for home decor- faux concrete pears. Find out more about this DIY.

Fall candles

Bring the scent of fall into your home with fall scented candles, such as Vanilla Pumpkin Pie and Autumn Harvest from one of my favorite candle companies, 320 Sycamore Candle Co.

Fall place settings + tablescape

A tablescape is one of my go-to areas to update during seasons and holidays. Add to your current tablescape/centerpiece by adding items such as greenery, cotton and pine cones to bring fall inside.

I like to keep place settings fairly simple with some white dishes, a patterned napkin and a festive napkin ring. I got these "Gather" brass napkin rings by Hearth + Hand last year. Looks like they are back this year too!
