Master Bathroom Renovation: Light + Airy

A project I've been waiting for since the day we moved in..well, lots of projects, but the one we knew we wanted to tackle: the master bathroom.

As always, we want to stay on a tight budget, especially since this isn't our forever home, but give it a little bit more love than the outdated bathroom that it currently is.

The positive is that the layout is great- a separate bathtub and shower, double sinks, good cabinets, etc. So the majority of our updates will just be cosmetic (we'll see about that once we are done with demo though :)). These updates will include: shower tile, floor tile, all new fixtures, cabinet paint and a new light to replace the current one.

The space is a little bit on the smaller side, and for that reason I'm going for a light and airy look. Something that is bright and makes the space feel a bit bigger than it actually is. I love the contrast of light and dark, but using darker tile in this space just won't give it that enlarged look I'm going for. So to make up for that, we'll be using black fixtures to give it that "pop" against the light wood and tile.

Here's a peak into the design board I created. Stay tuned for more, and follow along the progress on my Instagram stories- @housetohome_design
